[Tutorial] Binding voice commands.

Postby Fcrate » Sat Feb 25, 2012 10:49 am

First of all, you ought to know that, misuse of this tutorial for spamming will really piss me off; so don't!
I admit, there aren't many players out there that use the voice commands as they're meant to be used, I think its because of the difficulty of using them while engaging an enemy, but there are some voice commands that are useful, if you wanna shout them in game, instantly. this tutorial covers how can you issue a voice command by pressing only one button.
Steps:
  • Enable your console, go to options, advanced, and check mark on console*
  • Press V, or your corresponding button; to bring up the voice command menu.
  • Press 4, to select the Statements/responses sub-menu.
  • You will see the list of commands there, in our example, we'll use: Grenade Take Cover!
  • The number on the left (5) shows the specific ID of the command. So far you pressed V-4-5.
  • Press the tilde ~ Key to bring up console, and type:
    Code: Select all
    bind g say *45
  • Close console, and press g to check, it should shout: Grenade, take cover!
  • You can continue to bind your favorite commands to keys, using the same method: V-Menu number-Command number, Enemy Spotted is *43, Area clear is *46, and so on.

Enjoy.
